Big Pot In The Making?

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Jay Graunstadt and Charles Nguyen battle it out pre flop already to create a pot of 47,000 chips. Nguyen then bet 26,000 on the {4-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and just as we became excited, Graunstadt folded his cards. Nguyen seems to be on a heater early on and must have already more than doubled his stack in the first 30 minutes.

Halladay Next to Go

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Antonio Bonilla was on the button and raised it to 4,400. Sitting in the small blind Brett Halladay moved all in. The big blind folded and Bonilla quickly made the call.

Halladay had {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts} but it was Bonilla in the lead with {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}.

The cards ran out {6-Spades}{10-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}. No help for Halladay and he was out.

Kristi Nguyen Eliminated In 48th Place

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Kristi Nguyen was already all in before but didn't get called. This time she three-bet shoved for 10,300 on the button and the cutoff called with {Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Nguyen turned over {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and was in good shape for a breeze of fresh chips. Until the dealer fanned the {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop, that caused a sigh from Nguyen.

Both the {10-Clubs} turn and the {10-Spades} river failed to improve her hand and she exited the tournament area.

Sun Sets

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Alexander Sun started the day short and he moved all in from early position for 16,000. Eric Monson in the small blind made the call and the big blind thought about it for a while but let the hand go.

Sun had found {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} but Monson had him dominated with {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and for Sun the tournament was done.

Miller is Bust

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Mo Nuwarrah raised from under-the-gun to 4,000 and it folded around to Zachariah Miller in the big blind, who shoved all in for not much more. Nuwarrah quickly called and needed some help with the {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} versus the pocket eights of Miller.

The help came in a big way on the flop with the {k-}{10-}{2-}. The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Miller is gone.

Mo Money

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Mo Nuwwarah was in the small blind when the action folded to him. He asked to see the stack of the big blind Sherwin Pilalia. Nuwwarah had him covered and he announced all in. Pilalia checked his cards and it looked like he had a decision to make. Eventually he folded and showed the {a-Diamonds}. Nuwwarah looked surprised and showed the {a-Clubs}. “Probably a chop.” he said.

On the button next hand Nuwwarah raised to 4,400 and took it down uncontested. From the cut-off next Nuwwarah again made it 4,400. This time Eric Monson defended the big blind.

They saw a flop of {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. Monson led out for 4,400 and Nuwwarah cut out some chip but after some thought released his cards saying, “Nice hand.”

No Drama Yet

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

In the first couple of minutes there was no drama at the tables yet. Luis Gadiana first lost a chunk of his stack but then doubled up again to pretty much where he started with {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} versus {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts} after spiking the {J-Clubs} on the river.
