Welcome to Day 2 of the Casino Employees Event 2014

The first event of the World Series of Poker to award a bracelet is the $500 Casino Employees Event that saw a field of 876 entries whittled down to only 51 after 11 levels of one hour each on yesterday's Day 1. The action on Day 2 will resume at 1 p.m. Las Vegas time and the players move from the Brasilia room to the Amazon room. Play continues at level 12 with the blinds at 1,000-2,000 - ante 300 and we will determine the first bracelet winner of 2014 and new owner of $82,835 today.

Corey Emery (164,900) jumped into first place late last night and leads the field ahead of Jay Graunstadt (125,000), Aaron Henderson (115,700) and Peter Alba (105,000). All players are now guaranteed at least $1,529. Mo Nuwwarah is the last PokerNews player left to keep the title of the opening event in the family. Out of the 51 players remaining, all but four are from the USA, very much like the 2013 event where five non Americans in total cashed.

The PokerNews live coverage will bring you all the good and bad beats from the felt. Once the final table of nine is reached, the action will then head over to the live stream feature table that can also be followed online with a delay of 30 minutes.
