Doug Polk Eliminated in 11th Place ($33,949)

Doug Polk - 11th Place

Richard Ashby completed from the small blind, Doug Polk raised out of the big blind, Ashby reraised and Polk called all in.

Polk: {k-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Ashby: {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

"I have two cards that can make a low," Polk said, revealing his hand.

The {7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop gave him the best low draw because Ashby paired his seven, and the {4-Diamonds} on the turn completed his low. Polk could scoop the pot with a five on the river for a full house, but disaster struck as the {a-Spades} completed the board, giving Ashby a superior low to go with his sevens and deuces.

Polk wished the players at the table good luck, then exited the tournament area looking to get paid.

Gregory Jamison - 12th Place

After heavy betting on a flop of {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, Gregory Jamison was all in and at risk against Melissa Burr on the turn ({j-Spades}.

Jamison: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}
Burr: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}

The {8-Diamonds} bricked off on the river and Burr scooped the pot with Broadway. Jamison, who was so close to reaching his fifth final table in this event, will earn $33,949 for his efforts.

"Now We're Short"

Shirley Rosario - Chip leader

Shirley Rosario raised from under the gun, Doug Polk called on the button and both players in the blinds folded. Rosario tossed out a bet on a flop of {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, Polk called, and Rosario slowed down on the last two streets, check-calling bets on the turn ({6-Diamonds}) and the river ({3-Hearts}).

Polk showed {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{x-} for trip sixes, but Rosario scooped the pot with {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} for a flush.

"Now we're short," Polk said, smiling.

Viatcheslav Ortynskiy tried to raise from the cutoff, but didn't commit enough chips and the bet was ruled a call. Dan Kelly called on his direct left and Gregory Jamison checked from the big blind.

The dealer fanned {6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, Jamison and Ortynskiy checked, and Kelly bet. Jamison raised, Ortynskiy folded and Kelly called.

Jamison check-called bets from Kelly on the turn ({j-Hearts}) and the river ({7-Diamonds}); both players tabled their hands.

Kelly: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Jamison: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades}

Kelly received three-quarters of the pot with a flush and ace-three, while Jamison was quartered with the same low.

Tom Koral raised on the button, Doug Polk called out of the small blind, Jason McPherson defended his big blind, and the flop fell {10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}. The action checked to Koral, he bet, and Polk raised. McPherson folded, Koral moved all in for 31,000 and Polk called.

Polk: {k-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Koral: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}

Polk filled up on the turn ({9-Diamonds}), and the {7-Spades} bricked off on the river.
