Negreanu's Aces Send Ashton to the Rail

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Matthew Ashton
Matthew Ashton

Daniel Negreanu opened to 10,000 and Matthew Ashton defended his big blind before leading out for 5,000 on the {6-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop.

Negreanu made the call as the {K-Hearts} landed on the turn and Ashton fired out 10,000 only to have Negreanu announce raise. Ashton committed his last 4,000 and the cards were tabled.

Negreanu: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{6-Spades}
Ashton: {Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades}

With Negreanu leading, the river landed the {10-Clubs} to send the 2013 WSOP Player of the Year runner-up to the rail as the guy that pipped him on virtually the final day move to roughly 120,000 in chips.
