Early Aggro

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Dennis Phillips opened for 110,000 and Jim Custer in the small blind three-bet him to 250,000.Phillips eyed him up and gave him a bit of chat but laid the hand down.

A few hands later it was Michael Frederick who opened for 120,000. A three bet for 300,000 from David Tran on the button saw Frederick fold.

Soon after Donald Maas opened for 125,000 and Custer again it was who clicked it back to 250,000. Maas wasn’t giving up so easily and called to see a flop. Heads up it went to {8-Spades}{2-Clubs}{j-Spades}.

Both players checked and the turn card was the {5-Diamonds}. Maas bet 250,000 which Custer called.

The river was the {k-Diamonds} and both players checked. Custer had {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} but Maas dragged the pot with his {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.

Kevin Detienne Eliminated in 11th Place ($40,024)

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Kevin Detienne
Kevin Detienne

The action folded to Kevin Detienne on the button and he limped for 40,000. Dan Heimiller folded the small blind and Dennis Phillips checked his option in the big blind. The {4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop saw Phillips bet 75,000 and Detienne moved all in for 295,000. It was no snap call but Phillips made the call, tabling {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}.

Detienne had a huge draw with {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs} but missed completely to improve on the {2-Hearts} turn and the {10-Diamonds} river. The start-of-the-day chip leader thus bubbles the unofficial final table and we are now moving to the ESPN feature stage. Once one more player hits the rail, the official final table is set and will also provide a live stream on a 30 minute delay.

Mitchell Lehman Eliminated in 12th Place ($40,024)

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Mitchell Lehman
Mitchell Lehman

Mitchell Lehman opened fot 150,000 from first position and Jim Custer moved all in from the big blind.

It was Lehman who had the shorter stack and he made the call.

Lehman {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Custer {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The dealer put out the five cards {2-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{q-Clubs}.

Lehman got a round of applause as the final table for the remaining players approached.

Robert Cramer Eliminated in 13th Place ($31,302)

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Robert Cramer

On the first table we saw Ronald Maas raise to 110,000 and Doc Barry three-bet to 310,000, but Maas took down the pot with a four-bet shove to 870,000. At the very same time, Robert Cramer moved all in on the secondary table for what looked like 450,000 . One seat over, Dan Heimiller decided to call and the blinds behind him got out of the way.

Cramer: {A-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Heimiller: {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} flop was a disaster for Cramer as he needed running aces to stay alive. Heimiller completed a full house on the {Q-Hearts} turn and the meaningless {6-Spades} fell on the river.

Custer Squeeze Shoves

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Michael Frederick opened for 110,000 and got called by David Smith on the button and David Vida in the small blind. Jim Custer then moved all in from the big blind. Frederick had a look around the table, Vida had his cards in his hand as if ready to muck, and released his hand. Smith folded pretty quickly. Vida took his time and eventually folded {10-}{10-}face up.

Custer collected the pot. “Tens beaten?” Vida asked, and Custer confirmed they were.

Detienne Stays Alive

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Dan Heimiller raised to 100,000 into the big blind of short stack Kevin Detienne and the latter tank folded. Heimiller showed him {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}.

Detienne also had to forfeit his small blind towards the all in of David Tran and then shoved from the button for 135,000. Heimiller called in the big blind with {Q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and had two live cards versus {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}. The board ran out {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Detienne doubled up, still very short stacked but alive.

Some Action From Table 447

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

David Vida raised to 100,000 and Mitchell Lehman called in the big blind. Both players checked down until the {4-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{4-Spades} river and Lehman tried to steal the pot with a bet of 75,000. Vida called with {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and that won the pot.

Jim Custer opened to 100,000 from the cutoff and Lehman moved all in for 400,000 to win back some chips.

Then it was once again Vida with the raise to 100,000 and Donald Maas as well as Lehman called to see the {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop. Vida moved all in with the biggest stack and enforced two folds.
