Dylan Linde Doubles Through Jake Cody

Level 3 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Dylan Linde
Dylan Linde

Dylan Linde raised to 2,500 on the button, Jake Cody three-bet to 7,700 from the big blind and Linde four-bet to 16,000. Cody called and the flop came down {Q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}.

Cody check-called 12,000 from Linde, the {7-Hearts} turned and Cody check-called another 28,000 from Linde. The {6-Diamonds} river completed the board and Cody checked for a third time. Linde quietly announced all in (for 42,800) after a few moments and Cody called after a few seconds.

Linde tabled {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for a set of fours, Cody mucked and Linde scored the double up to take the chip lead in their heads-up match.

Daneshgar and Brikis Tangle in Big Pot

Level 3 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

With nearly 22,000 in the pot and a board of {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, Sylvain Loosli bet 10,000 from the small blind and Josh Brikis called him from the big. When the {10-Diamonds} completed the board on the river, Loosli put together a big bet of 25,000 and slid it forward.

Brikis tossed in a single chip to signify a call, and Loosli rolled over the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} for the ace-high flush. Brikis shook his head in disgust and showed the {k-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} for the king-high flush.

Galfond Eliminates Abou Risk

Level 4 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond opened with a raise and Nick Abou Risk responded by moving all in. Galfond made a quick called with the {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}, which was well out in front of Abou Risk's pocket fives. The board ran out clean, and that was all she wrote for Abou Risk.

That leaves Galfond to battle Stewart Newman heads up over at Table 356 with the latter holding a near 2-1 chip lead.

Cracked Pocket Rockets Send Dandrea to the Rail

Level 4 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We've just lost our first player over at Table 361, and it happened after pocket rockets got cracked.

We're not sure how the action unfolded, but we do know Raymond Dandrea was the one with aces. However, they were no good as Chris Bell held the {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} on a board reading {2-Spades}{9-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}. The pot was being pushed to Bell when we arrive, which was the same time Dandrea was making a beeline for the exit.

Venovski and Wasserson Heads Up

Level 4 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

In a three-bet pot preflop with the flop reading {Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades}, James Matthews got his stack of 78,000 into the middle with {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} against Alex Venovski's {Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. Matthews found no help from the turn or river and was eliminated.

Venovski holds the chip lead over Eric Wasserson as heads-up play begins.

Froehlich Gives One Up

Level 4 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We happened upon Table 360 with around 50,000 already in the pot and a flop of {j-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. Narendra Banwari had bet 17,600 from the small blind and action was on Erich Froehlich in the big. The two-time bracelet winner gave it some thought, but he opted to release his hand.

Stonehill Doubles Through Alaei

Level 4 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

The preflop action escaped us, but we do know a short-stack Michael Stonehill got his stack of 29,700 all in and was at risk against Daniel Alaei.

Stonehill: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Alaei: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Stonehill was well out in front, and that's just where he stayed as the board ran out {8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}.
