Harris Picks Off Manuel

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante
Lance Harris (Event 11)
Lance Harris (Event 11)

Lance Harris bet 1,850 from under the gun after a flop of {7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, and Enrique Manuel, the only other player in the pot, called from the button. Both players checked the {k-Clubs}, and Harris checked the {6-Diamonds} river. Manuel fired 4,000, and Harris called after about 30 seconds.

Manuel remained motionless.

"I called," Harris said, looking at Manuel.

Manuel pointed at Harris then awkwardly turned over {j-Clubs}{10-Spades} for nil. Harris showed {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and took the pot.

Slow Day For Merson

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

2012 WSOP Main Event champ Greg Merson can't seem to get anything going today, as evidenced by a recent pot he played.

He made it 1,200 from late position and the big blind defended. The flop came {j-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades} and after the big blind checked, Merson c-bet, making it 1,400.

The big blind fired back with a check-raise to 3,200 and Merson was forced to let it go.

Nitsche Calls Flowers

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante
Dominik Nitsche
Dominik Nitsche

Dominik Nitsche continues his domination here sending Randal Flowers home empty handed just moments ago.

We caught the hand with Flowers all in for some 10,000 in chips on an {q-Hearts}{5-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds} board. Nitsche took his time about it, but made the call with {j-Hearts}{j-Spades} finding he was ahead of Flowers' {a-Spades}{4-Spades}.

The {j-Clubs} on the river did Flowers in and Nitsche appears to have the chip lead.

Nitsche Running "Pure as Gold"

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

We arrived at Table 10 to see a massive pot being pushed to Dominik NItsche, while Maria Mayrinck was gathering her stuff to leave. According to Gabriel Nassif, Mayrinck opened for 1,400 and got three-bet by Nitsche to 4,200. Mayrinck and NItsche had a brief conversation in which Mayrinck expressed some frustration that Nitsche was "s****** on" her.

"What are you gonna do about it?" Nitsche reportedly asked.

In response, Mayrinck shoved and was called.

Mayrinck flopped two pair with {10-}{9-}, but Nitsche made a flush on the river with {a-}{k-} to bust her.

"Nice hand," Mayrinck said on her way out. "You run as pure as gold."

Nguyen Keeps On Trucking

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

Soi Nguyen keeps rolling along in this event now on close to 50,00 in chips.

From the small blind, he joined one other caller of a Zo Karim 1,300-chip open. The short stack in the big blind made the call as well and the flop rolled out {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}.

Nguyen led out for 2,150, the big blind shoved for 4,175 total and after two folds, Nguyen made the call with {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. The big blind was at risk with {7-Spades}{8-Spades}, but safely found a chop as the board rolled out {q-Clubs}{a-Clubs}.
