Liam Alcock Eliminated in 5th Place ($54,088)

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Liam Alcock is eliminated by Doug Polk in 5th Place
Liam Alcock is eliminated by Doug Polk in 5th Place

Hand #21: Liam Alcock raised to 51,000 when it was folded to him on the button and Andy Philachack made the call from the small blind. The flop came {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and Philachack asked Alcock how much he had behind before leading out for 100,000. Alcock folded and Philachack picked up the pot.

Hand #22: Philachack opened for 55,000 from the button and picked up the blinds and antes.

Hand #23: Alcock opened for 52,000 from under the gun. Doug Polk in the big blind reraised all in and Alcock snap-called for his last 332,000. The players turned over their hands:

Polk: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}
Alcock: {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

The flop came {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs} to give Alcock top set. The turn was the {8-Hearts} and Polk said "that's not good for me."

The river was good for him though as it was one of his four outs — the {Q-Clubs}. Polk ran over to his rail, giving one of his friends a huge embrace as Alcock was eliminated in fifth place. "So sick," said Polk as he sat down.
