Serock Knocks Out Opponent

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

Joe Serock led out for 2,800 on a board of {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Spades} and an opponent moved all in for 10,000 or so. Serock tanked for a considerable amount of time before calling, and his opponent shrugged before showing {k-Spades}{7-Spades} for flush and straight draws.

Serock turned over {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, taking away two of the players' outs, and the {10-Diamonds} bricked off on the river.

Fish and Pahuja Run into Aces

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

Among the post-dinner eliminations thus far have been Mukul Pahuja and Darryll Fish.

Pahuja ran {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} into an opponent's red aces and failed to improve, while Fish ran his {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} into Fred Goldberg's {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}. The board ran out {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and the pot was shipped to Goldberg.

Spade on Spade Violence

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante
Scott Seiver (Previous event) is among the leaders

When we reached Table 5, a player was all in and at risk for around 20,000 on a completed board of {4-Hearts}{6-Spades}{9-Spades}{j-Spades}{5-Clubs}. Scott Seiver was in the tank, and after a few seconds pause, he called.

The player showed {q-Spades}{10-Spades} for a flush, but he was pipped by Seiver's {k-Spades}{5-Spades}.

The players at the table were a bit stunned at the tank, including the newest WSOP bracelet winner, Kory Kilpatrick.

"He had to have exactly queen-ten of spades," Seiver said.

"I'm assuming you guys had history?" Kilpatrick asked.

Seiver nodded, confirming Kilpatrick's speculation.

Grinding

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

There was a raise to 1,000 from under the gun, Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi three-bet to 2,000 on the button, and the original raiser called.

The player check-called a bet of 2,025 from Mizrachi on a flop of {10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, and checked again on the turn ({7-Clubs}). Mizrachi fired out 4,000, the player check-raised to 8,000 and Mizrachi called.

The river was the {k-Clubs}, both players checked, and the under-the-gun player announced, "Queen-high." Mizrachi revealed {a-Clubs}{8-Spades} for ace-high and pulled in the pot.
