Kenney's Up There Again

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

We caught the action on the {9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop when Freddy Deeb bet 18,000 and Bryn Kenney called.

On the turn the {J-Hearts} hit and Deeb checked to Kenney who fired out 28,000. Deeb made the call and on the river the {J-Spades} hit.

Deeb checked again and Kenney threw out 90,000 chips. Deeb called immediately and mucked when Kenney showed {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. Deeb was left with very little chips and lost those not too long after this hand.

Tommy Miller Eliminated by Matt Jarvis

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Griffin Benger opened to 10,500 from the hijack,, Matt Jarvis called on the button and Tommy Miller three-bet shoved for 108,500 from the small blind. Benger folded, sending Jarvis into the tank for about two minutes before he called.

Jarvis: {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Miller: {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The flop fell {A-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds} to give Miller a huge lead with a pair of aces. The {J-Hearts} landed on the turn to give Jarvis a few outs and sure enough, the {J-Diamonds} fell on the river to give Jarvis trip jacks to eliminate MIller.

Kevin Eyster
Kevin Eyster

Prior to the level change, Byron Kaverman raised to 9,000 from the hijack seat, Kevin Eyster called on the button, and Bryn Kenney three-bet to 31,000 out of the small blind. Kaverman folded, and Eyster called.

The flop fell {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, Kenney led out for 22,500, and Eyster called. The turn was the {6-Diamonds}, Kenney bet another 28,500, and Eyster immediately moved all in for about 150,000 or so. Kenney folded.

"I'll show," Eyster said tabling {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}.

"You got the same hand to fold," Kenney told him.

Eights for Kanit

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Mustapha Kanit raised to 8,000 in early position, Freddy Deeb three-bet to 24,000 in position, and Kanit made the call. The dealer fanned {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, both players checked, and the turn was the {9-Spades}. Kanit check-called a bet of 30,000, and both players checked once again on the river ({6-Spades}).

Kanit rolled over {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} for a pair of eights, and Deeb mucked.

"Almost There"

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Griffin Benger and Baz Karam checked on a flop of {8-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Tommy Miller tossed out 11,000, both Benger and Karam called, and the turn was the {4-Clubs}.

Benger quickly checked, and Karam went into the tank. He tanked, and tanked, and tanked.

"Almost there," he said after nearly 90 seconds of silence.

"Almost there?" Benger echoed. "With your decision? Your hand?"

Karam didn't reply.

The rest of the table then started debating what "almost there" actually meant. Jay Dragland thought it might mean the next pay jump. Matt Jarvis was simply confused.

"This is the weirdest hand ever," he said flatly.

Karam finally checked, and Miller checked behind.

The river was the {5-Diamonds}, Benger led out for 20,000, and neither of his opponents called.

"OK," Jarvis said. "Let's get back to playing poker."

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Noah Vaillancourt opened to 9,000 in the hijack, Amanda Musumeci three-bet to 24,500 from the cutoff and Vaillancourt called to see a flop of {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}.

Vaillancourt check-called 30,000, the {5-Diamonds} fell on the turn and both players checked. The {3-Clubs} river completed the board and Vaillancourt bet 38,500, sending Musumeci into the tank for about 75 seconds before she folded.
