Roller Coaster With Sets For Both

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Ismael Bojang had a short stack at risk when they got it in after fifth street, Bojang betting all the way showing {7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{7-Spades}. The opponent called with {3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}.

Bojang drew the {10-Diamonds} on sixth with {J-Hearts}{8-Hearts} as down cards and the {7-Diamonds} on seventh for a set of sevens, but the opponent made the {9-Clubs} on seventh with rolled up nines and a thus higher set.

Norman Chad

Stud Hi-Low

The action got around to Norman Chad and he completed with the {A-Diamonds} showing, two players did so as well. They checked fourth and one opponent folded on fifth with {7-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{J-Hearts} showing. Howard Mann however didn't go anywhere and called the final bet of Chad for the last 300.

Mann: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{X-}
Chad: {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} / {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{J-Spades} / {10-Spades}

The fives and threes were not enough for Chad and before he left the table, he granted the request of the woman in seat two just next to him for a selfie.

Ivey Barely Hanging On

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Omaha Hi-Low

Things have taken a turn for the worse for Phil Ivey the last couple levels.

In a recent hand, there was a few thousand in the pot when Phil Ivey checked the river on a board reading {2-Spades}{3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. His opponent did the same and tabled the {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for a set of threes. It was good too as Ivey simply sent his cards to the muck.

"That Was Like the Best Card in History"

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Stud Hi-Low

The player with the bring-in opted to complete showing the {3-Spades}, which inspired famed tournament director Matt Savage to called with the {q-Spades} up. Tony Cousineau then raised to 1,000, the other player made it 1,500, and Savage folded. Cousineau then made it 2,000, the other player called, and it was off to fourth street. The two raised back and forth until the unknown player got his last 2,100 in the pot.

"That was like the best card in history," Cousineau said of the {3-Clubs}. Indeed, it helped his hand a great deal.

Cousineau: {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} / {4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Spades} / {6-Clubs}
Opponent: {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds} / {3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds} / {Q-Clubs}

Cousineau made a flush on seventh with a 6-5-4-3-A low, which left his opponent drawing dead.
