Holley Makes Queens Full For Half

Level 5

Stud 8

Holley: {x-}{x-} / {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} / {x-}
Opponent: {x-}{x-} / {8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} / {x-}
All In Player: {x-}{x-} / {7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} / {x-}
Opponent 2: {x-}{x-} / {J-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{9-Spades} -fold

We arrived at the table on fifth street to see John Holley check his made pair of tens. The player to his direct left led out with three low cards showing and a third player made it two bets to go. The player showing J-9-5 folded his cards and Holley flatted. The original bettor three-bet the action and the it was four-bet back to Holley.

"Let's caps it and be done with it," said Holley, capping the action at five bets. He received two calls.

On sixth street, Holley led out and his first opponent called. The third player, showing three diamonds, called all in for less than one more big bet.

After the final card was dealt, Holley fired one more time and his active opponent called. Holley rolled over {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{x-} for the high with queens full of treys. His opponent took the low with {A-Spades}{j-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for an eighty-seven.

The all in player tabled {J-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for a diamond flush and an eight-seven-four low. Neither of these hand were good for the main pot and she was eliminated from play.

Holley, winner of the high, now sits around 5,500 in chips.
