Jaka Doubles For a Second Time

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

The action folded to Faraz Jaka in the small blind and he moved all in. Steven Norden made the call one seat over and both players turned over their cards.

Jaka: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Norden: {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

The {J-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop was pretty good for Jaka as he paired his kicker and Norden now needed help on turn and river to score the knockout. After the {A-Spades} turn, the double up was already secured and the {3-Clubs} river completed the board.

Shortly after, Will Givens raised to 21,000 and then folded when Jaka moved all in once again. "I fold. I want to see you in heads up," he said before mucking his cards.

Pahuja Takes One Down

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

David Olmsted raised from early position and got two callers in Vinny Pahuja and the big blind. Olmsted made the continuation bet on the {K-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop for 60,000 and only Pahuja called to see the {4-Hearts} turn. Olmsted checked and then openly folded {J-Hearts}{J-Spades} when Pahuja bet what looked like 80,000.

"I guess I should have raised more pre. King Queen?" Olmsted asked after the hand was over.

The flop was {4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Faraz Jaka bet 35,000. Will Givens raised him up to 75,000 and Jeremy Joseph moved all in. Jaka folded but Givens wasted no time in making the call.

Joseph showed {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Givens tabled {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}.

The turn {7-Clubs} and river {2-Clubs} missed Joseph and sent him out.

Dutch Boyd raised to 24,000 from the button and Stewart Newman announced all in. "Can I have a count,please?" asked Paul Cogliano one seat over and then moved all in himself after the dealer verified the stack to be 167,000. Boyd quickly folded and the two players turned over their cards.

Newman: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Cogliani: {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

"That is pretty sick," a disappointed Newman said before the dealer proceeded to do his duty. The board ran out {2-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and the field was reduced to 13.

Steven Norden opened the action and Kwan Leung ended it by moving all in. Norden weighed it up for a while but in the end decided to make the call to put Leung at risk.

The cards ran out {8-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. The fives held up and Leung was out.

Dixon Doubles

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Chad Dixon got the remainder of his 161,000 stack in from early position and was called one seat over by Will Givens. All other players folded and the two players flipped over their cards. It was a classic race with {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} for Dixon and the {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} for Givens, who could not improve on the {6-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} board.

Doyle Boyd Or Dutch Brunson?

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Dutch Boyd raised to 24,000 from the button and called the three-bet of David Olmsted out of the big blind for 50,000. Olmsted fired 50,000 on the {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{K-Diamonds} flop and Boyd called before he called all in once Olmsted put him to the test after the {6-Hearts} turn.

"You called me with that?" a surprised Olmsted asked. "I can never put you on that hand," he admitted and showed {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} himself. Boyd had turned over the {10-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for trips deuces and the {10-Diamonds} river even gave him a full house.

Doyle Brunson won the WSOP Main Event with said hand and it may very well be an important step for Boyd to win a bracelet himself.

Faraz Jaka opened the action and Kevin Gabbay moved all in. Will Givens declared that he was all in too.

Jaka folded {a-}{9-} face up and let them get on with it.

Gabbay had found a big pair {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} but unluckily for him Givens had {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}.

The final board read {4-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades}. More chips flowed to Givens and Gabbay was headed for the pay-out desk in twelfth.
