Hello everyone and welcome back to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino and the 2014 World Series of Poker. Getting underway soon will be Event #34: $1,500 Seven-Card Stud. Last years WSOP did not feature this buy-in amount for seven-card stud, but did have a $2,500 version which saw David Chiu emerge on top after battling Scott Seiver heads up to win the $145,520 first place prize.

Other notable players who would make the final table last year included the likes of Michael Mizrachi in fourth place, Frank Kassela in fifth place, Matthew Ashton in seventh place, and Adam Friedman in eight place. Falling short of making the final table but cashing were Mike Sexton, Andre Akkari, Ashton Griffin, Mike Leah, Bill Chen, Calvin Anderson, and Daniel Negreanu.

Many of those players and more are expected to join the action tonight. Play will get underway at 4 p.m. local time. PokerNews will be here until the very last card is dealt so make sure to tune in!

Barbara Enright, best known for being the only woman to ever make the final table of the WSOP Main Event is among the few that have sat down in the last 15 or so minutes. She has three bracelets to her name, including two in Limit Seven-Card Stud and in looking at her tournament successes, many of them have come in this variant so it wouldn't be a surprise to see her make a deep run here. David Singer: {X-}{X-}/{K-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}/{X-}
Opponent: {X-}{X-}/{2-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Spades}/{X-}

We got to the table with David Singer having called a bet on fifth street. He did the same on sixth street. He would check on seventh and his opponent would check behind him and turn over {K-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for two pair, sixes and twos. Singer mucked but he's still sitting with a stack slightly bigger than what he started the day with.

David Singer came into play today with 36 WSOP cashes and one bracelet. When he won his bracelet in 2008 in Pot Limit Hold 'Em, he was widely considered as one of the best to not have won a bracelet. Singer has been quiet the last few years, with only six cashes since 2011, but he's been seen at several events here of late looking to re-emerge on the poker tournament scene.
