Ostrander Ostracized

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Michael Mizrachi raised to 5,000 from middle position before Greg Ostrander reraised all in from the small blind for 22,400. In the big blind was Michael Rocco. He asked for a count on Ostrander's shove, got it, then made the call. Mizrachi then folded.

Ostrander showed the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}, but his hand as dominated by the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} for Rocco.

The flop, turn, and river ran out {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, and Ostrander was out the door.

Battle of the Kyles

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Just before the break, Kyle Welsh got his stack of 47,700 all in preflop from the cutoff and was in bad shape against Kyle Bowker, who was on the button.

Bowker: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}
Welsh: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Both players held an ace, but Bowker's kicker had him well out in front. The {4-Hearts}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop was uneventful, while the {a-Diamonds} turn gave both a pair. Bowker's kicker made him an overwhelming favorite, but Welsh got lucky as the {6-Spades} spiked on the river to give him two pair and renewed life.

Cousineau Doubles; Mizrachi Eliminates Chidwick

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Tony Cousineau on Day 1.
Tony Cousineau on Day 1.

Action folded around to Eric Baldwin on the button and he asked Tony Cousineau and Greg Ostrander how much they had in the small and big blind, respectively. Upon ascertaining that information, Baldwin announced that he was all in.

Cousineau squeezed out his cards and then announced that he, too, was all in. Ostrander folded from the big blind.

Baldwin: {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Cousineau: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Cousineau had woken up with the right hand at the right time, and was rewarded after the board ran out a safe {4-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{j-Clubs}.

Meanwhile, Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi had eliminated Stephen Chidwick from the same table a few minutes before. Unfortunately we missed the hand, but we do know it helped Mizrachi increase his stack to 240,000.

Bowker Busts Selbst in 250K Pot

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Vanessa Selbst
Vanessa Selbst

From the cutoff seat, Kyle Bowker raised to 4,500. After the player in the small blind made the call, Vanessa Selbst reraised to 16,200 out of the big blind. Bowker requested to see how many chips Selbst had behind. After doing so, Bowker announced that he was all in. The player in the small blind folded, and Selbst called to put herself at risk for around 122,000 or so.

Selbst tabled the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} and was dominating the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} for Bowker.

On the flop, Bowker took the lead when the {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}{10-Clubs} fell. The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and the river the {6-Spades}. Selbst finished second best to Bowker in the hand, and he had her covered. With that, Selbst was out the door short of the money while Bowker catapulted himself into the chip lead with 287,000.
