Negreanu in Trouble

Level 2 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

The tension in the match between Daniel Negreanu and Tommy Chen is building, but it's not because the latter is winning most of the pots. Negreanu and Chen are talking about "the future" and Chen seems convinced a positive future is only possible with the help of cryptocurrencies.

"You do it your way, I do it mine," Negreanu said, as he explained he knows nothing about either coding nor cryptocurrencies.

"You do realize that your statement is very arrogant, right?" Negreanu asked Chen, who nodded and said that he didn't care if it was.

The first hand we saw went as follows: After Chen limped for 6,000, Negreanu raised it up to 21,000. Chen called and the flop brought {Q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, after which Negreanu bet 27,000 and Chen called. On the turn, the {3-Spades}, and the river, the {8-Hearts}, the action was checked, and Negreanu announced he had "seven-high." Negreanu showed {7-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Chen took the pot down holding {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

On the very next hand, Negreanu raised to 12,000 and Chen made it 37,000 to go. Negreanu called and the flop was {3-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Chen check-called 32,000. On the turn, the {5-Diamonds}, both players checked, then the river was the {Q-Diamonds}. Negreanu folded when Chen bet 100,000 and the latter extended his lead.
