Negreanu Hits Straight

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

We got to the table with Daniel Negreanu calling a bet on the {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{10-Diamonds} board. He would then lead out on the {K-Diamonds} river and his opponent would make the call. "Straight," said Negreanu as he turned over {Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}. His opponent was left shaking his head, as he was crippled by the lost pot. Negreanu was up to 18,000 after dragging that pot.

Big Blind Special

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

We get to the table with a bet in front of Jeff Lisandro on a {J-}{6-}{J-}{6-}{X-} board and two players still left to act. Both decided to look Lisandro up and both regretted doing so when he turned over {K-Spades}{6-Spades} for sixes full of jacks. Both players mucked their hands and one looked at Lisandro and said "big blind special."

Lisandro smiled as he stacked his chips.

Leah Fills Up

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

On a board of {j-}{7-}{a-}{a-}{a-}, Mike Leah called a bet from a player in the small blind. The player in the small blind showed {j-} for a full house and Leah announced "no good", tabling {q-}{q-} for a better full house.
