Ivey Keeps Climbing

Level 22

2-7 Triple Draw

Daniel Negreanu put out a raise from the cutoff and Phil Ivey made it three bets from the button. The blinds folded and Negreanu called. On the first draw, Negreanu took two new cards while Ivey opted for just one. Negreanu checked, Ivey continued, and Negreanu called.

The second draw saw Negreanu pull two new cards once more. Ivey stood pat and fired out a bet after Negreanu checked to him. Negreanu called to see the final draw. "KidPoker" exchanged one card on the final draw while Ivey again stood pat. Both players checked and Ivey fanned {8-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}. Negreanu mucked his cards and Ivey raked in yet another pot, extending his lead to 790,000 in chips.
