Chau's Splashing Around Makes for Wild Hand

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

We saw the tail end of a hand between Gary Chau and Michael Sears that ended in elation for Sears. Chau got it all in with Sears holding {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} versus the {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} of Sears.

The flop of {2-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{5-Spades} hit Chau and then he leapt into the lead with the {7-Hearts} turn. The {a-Spades} came on the river, though and Sears celebrated loudly. Chau sat and smiled as the players buzzed about the exciting hand.

Chau got quite a few chips back, however on the next hand with a flush versus the second pair of Sears and still has a mountain of chips.

Levy Takes Big Pot Against Peckham

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Picking up the action after the river of a {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs} board with roughly 800,000 in the pot. Mark Peckham bet 350,000. Steven Levy tanked for about 90 seconds before he called.

Peckham tabled {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}, but it was second best to Levy's {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a pair of eights.

Wheeler Busts After a Cruel River

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Jason Wheeler stopped by the media desk on his way to collecting his payout receipt and let us know about his exit hand.

Wheeler opened to 60,000 with the {10-Spades}{9-Spades} and then called when Clement Giraudo-Pourchot three-bet to 125,000. Giraudo-Pourchot then continued with a 150,000 bet on the {Q-}{Q-}{J-} flop, Wheeler moved all-in for 750,000 in total and Giraudo-Pourchot called with what turned out to be {A-}{A-}.

The {8-} improved Wheeler to a straight, but the {Q-} gifted Giraudo-Pourchot a full house and that was more than enough to send Wheeler to the showers.

Adeniya Falls to a Queen on the River

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

We spoke to Martins Adeniya a short while ago and he said that today had been a difficult day in that he was always short staked and having to grind his way through the field. Adeniya is grinding no more because when he moved all in for his last 10 big blinds with {A-}{5-} from the cutoff, Thayer Rasmussen called with {Q-}{J-} and proceeded to catch a queen on the river and Adeniya headed into the warm Las Vegas night.
