Feature Table Hands #42-43: Esfandiari Back to 20 Million

Level 16 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante

Hand #42: Tobias Reinkemeier raised to 425,000 in the cutoff, Daniel Negreanu called out of the small blind, and the flop came {a-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades}. Negreanu checked, and Reinkemeier checked behind. The turn was the {5-Spades}, the two checked again, and the {10-Diamonds} completed the board.

Negreanu checked, Reinkemeier fired 450,000, and Negreanu tank-called. The German opened up {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a pair of aces, and Negreanu cackled as he mucked.

Hand #43: Antonio Esfandiari raised to 340,000 in the cutoff, Daniel Colman defended his big blind, and the flop came down {2-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades}. Colman checked, Esfandiari continued for 510,000, and Colman called. The turn was the {a-Hearts}, both players checked, and the river was the {j-Diamonds}. Colman led out for 1.3 million, and Esfandiari went into the tank.

While the Magician mulled the decision over, Scott Seiver, Reinkemeier, and Newey stood from the table and started chopping it up. All three took turns laughing and joking, and finally they returned to the table one by one.

Esfandiari finally called after a few minutes, and Colman showed {k-Hearts}{10-Spades} for king-high. The 2012 ONE DROP champion rolled over {k-Spades}{j-Clubs} for a pair of jacks, and when his rail exploded into a chorus of cheers, he triumphantly threw both hands into the air.
