Welcome to PokerNews' Day 2 coverage of Event #63: $1,500 Six-Handed 10-Game Mix.

After 10 one-hour levels on Day 1, the starting field of 445 entrants is down to just 85 players. What are they playing for? A coveted World Series of Poker gold bracelet and a first-place prize of $153,220.

On top of this chip counts is Bryn Kenney with 67,000. Already with two final tables under his belt this summer, Kenney would no doubt love to make a third WSOP final table in 2014 and capture his first gold bracelet. He is followed by Scott Clements (55,825), James Carroll (50,850) and Justin Bonomo (49,050). Also still in the field are Mike Leah (37,625), Brandon Shack-Harris (35,950), Daniel Negreanu (30,150), Chris Moneymaker (15,100), and Phil Laak (8,925).

The plan on Day 2 is to play another 10 levels, with the hope of reaching the final table. Play is set to resume at 2 p.m. so be sure to keep it here at PokerNews for live updates on all of the exciting action!

Victor Ramdin

2-7 Triple Draw

Victor Ramdin opened his button with a raise and Dutch Boyd called out of the big blind. Both players took one new card at the draw and Boyd came out swinging. Ramdin called and they both took one new card once more. Boyd fired for a second time and Ramdin stuck around.

Both players stood pat at the final draw and Boyd bet. Ramdin called for his last 1,000 and Boyd fanned {9-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-}. It was no good, however, as Ramdin showed {7-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-} for number two to scoop the pot. Ramdin now sits around 13,200 while Boyd has dropped to 6,400.

Thaker: {x-}{x-} / {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{K-Spades} / {x-}

After a series of what looked to be four bets on third, Allen Cunningham and Haresh Thaker saw their fourth street cards. Thaker continued out with a bet and Cunningham called. Thaker paired eights on fifth and led one more time. Cunningham raised exactly 100 more and Thaker called, promptly rolling over {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} for tens and eights. Cunningham showed {9-Spades}{3-Diamonds} in the hole for a pair of nines.

Cunningham pulled a second trey on sixth, but his two pair was still the second best hand. He received a {K-Spades} to finish the hand and was eliminated in 13th place. Thaker completed his hand with the {3-Spades} and then scooped the pot. He now sits around 230,000 in chips.
