David Malka Folds Aces Full Face Up
We got to the table with a large pot brewing. The board had been completed with showing and there was 60,000 in the pot with 105,000 in front of both David Malka and Pat Walsh. There was an additional 150,000 in front of Walsh, indicating a raise, and Malka was deep in thought.
"This is pretty sick if I fold this," said Malka, shaking his head.
"150 more right?" he asked the dealer, a focused stare on the five cards in the middle of the table. Malka smiled, a whimsical smile if there ever was one, and shook his head again.
A couple more minutes passed before Malka said "so sick. Sorry guys I'm almost done."
He finally folded, showing for aces full of fives. The table sat there stunned. Not believing what they had just witnessed. Ted Lawson said "that's a raising hand, not a folding hand. The only thing that can beat you is quad fives."
"You don't want to see," said Walsh to Malka.
"Yes, I do," responded Malka.
Walsh turned over for a flush but no quads. Malka sat there quiet, staring off into space, shaking his head some more.
