Brandon Garrity Eliminated in 15th Place ($14,579)

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Brandon Garrity - 15th Place
Brandon Garrity - 15th Place

Nghiahiep Nguyen opened for 25,000 from the cutoff and Brandon Garrity responded by moving all in from the button. The blinds both folded and Nguyen opted to call.

Garrity: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Nguyen: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

Garrity ran his pocket pair into one slightly better, and he paid the ultimate price after the {j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{10-Spades} board failed to help him.

Sean Giesbrecht Eliminated in 16th Place ($11,645)

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Sean Giesbrecht - 16th Place
Sean Giesbrecht - 16th Place

Jeff Smith opened for 25,000 under the gun only to have Dylan Linde three-bet all in from the hijack. Sean Giesbrecht then called off from the button, the blinds folded, and Smith got out of the way.

Giesbrecht: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Linde: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

It was a bad spot for Giesbrecht, and things weren't looking good on the {j-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop. The {5-Diamonds} turn was kind as it gave him a flush draw, but the {5-Spades} river would fail to complete it.

Giesbrecht will take home $11,645 for his 16th-place finish.

Pahuja Straightens Out Giesbrecht

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

With around 50,000 in the pot and a flop of {q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, a raising war between Vinny Pahuja and Sean Giesbrecht resulted in the former getting his stack of 334,000 in the middle.

Pahuja: {6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Giesbrecht" {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

Pahuja decided to go with his open-ended straight draw, which he needed to hit to overcome the aces of Giesbrecht. The dealer burned and turned the {8-Hearts}, which was gin for Pahuja. Giesbrecht was clearly distraught and sent the vast majority of his stack over to Pahuja after the {2-Diamonds} was put out on the river.

Bob Bounahra Eliminated in 17th Place ($11,645)

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Bob Bounahra
Bob Bounahra

It was an elimination in two chapters. First Bog Bounahra three-bet shoved with {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} into the open raise of Frank Patti and the latter was priced in to call the 50,000 with {Q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. Bounahra could not improve on the {10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts} board.

One hand later, he three-bet shoved again, this time for 120,000. Sean Giesbrecht had raised to 22,000 and called with {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}, it was a flip against {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Bounahra was only five cards away from a possible comeback story, but the {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} board completed the four-card-flush for his opponent instead.

Troy Baker Eliminated in 18th Place ($11,645)

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Troy Baker
Troy Baker

Rene Angelil opened the action with a min-raise to 20,000 and one seat over, Troy Baker moved all in. Angelil quickly called the 63,000 and showed {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}. Baker was doomed with {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and could not improve anymore as the board ran out {3-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{J-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. A great result for "Toby" though in his very first WSOP event.

Double Up For Cornel Medes

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Cornel Medes was all in at the same time as Jerry DeNicholas, though on the secondary table. He had 133,000 left and flipped for his tournament life with {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} against the {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} of Nghiahiep Nguyen. The latter hit a set but the {K-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{J-Clubs}{10-Clubs} board also gave the Romanian a flush.

Jerry DeNicholas Eliminated in 19th Place ($9,428)

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Jerry DeNicholas
Jerry DeNicholas

Chris Hunichen raised to 22,000 and Sean Giesbrecht called before Jerry DeNicholas moved all in for 57,000. Both opponents called and checked down the {9-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop. Hunichen then bet 57,000 on the {9-Spades} turn and the isolation worked.

Hunichen: {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
DeNicholas: {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}

Only a jack could save DeNicholas but the {4-Diamonds} river was a blank. Redraw shortly for the last two tables.
