Belluscio's Three-Barrel Fails

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Julio Belluscio bet 22,000 after William Cole checked to him on a {7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop. Cole called, and the turn brought a {j-Hearts}. This time, Cole check-called 30,000. On the {9-Diamonds}, he checked a final time and Belluscio bet 55,000. Cole thought for about a minute and slid out a call.

Belluscio patted the table, and Cole showed {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, leading to more table patting and a muck.

The Downfall of Steve Brecher

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Steve Brecher
Steve Brecher

Steve Brecher's comeback has come to an end. It happened when Vladimir Shchemelev opened for 12,000 from middle position and Brecher three-bet all in for 45,000 from late position. Scott Palmer then four-bet to 100,000 from the small blind and Shchemelev got out of the way.

Palmer: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Brecher: {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Brecher's best chance of survival was to catch an ace, and he found one on the {6-Spades}{a-Spades}{j-Clubs} flop. Unfortunately for him, Palmer also found a jack for a set. The {K-Diamonds} turn left Brecher drawing dead, and after the {7-Diamonds} was put out on the river he took his leave from the 2014 WSOP Main Event.

"Now We Know What You're Raising With"

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

The action folded to Per Karlsson, who moved all in for effectively 138,000 out of the small blind. Viktors Vorobjovs woke up with a big hand in the big blind, making the call.

Karlsson: {9-Spades}{7-Spades}
Vorobjovs: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Vorobjovs improved on a flop of {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{k-Spades}, but Karlsson was drawing very live after the turn ({7-Diamonds}). Vorobjovs breathed a brief sigh of relief when the {6-Clubs} bricked off on the river, and he doubled to 285,000 chips.

Karlsson dipped down to 760,000.

"Now we know what you're raising with," Michael Snorden told Karlsson after the hand.

Hendriks Busts Tilton

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Action folded around to James Tilton on the button and he moved all in for his last 52,000. The small blind folded and Kelsey Hendriks instantly called from the big blind, rolling over {A-Clubs}{k-Hearts}. Tilton showed {4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and was looking for improvement.

The board ran out {2-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, giving Tilton no help. He was eliminated from play and Hendriks dragged the pot. He now sits around 345,000.

Litvinov Stays Alive

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Russian pro Artem Litvinov just found himself a double up and did a little dance. Litvinov ended up all in holding two queens and after his opponent had hit a king with {K-}{Q-} his outs were down to just one.

The river however brought a queen for the Russian erupted in an amazing celebration.

Litvinov was caught shadow boxing, doing push ups and some more crazy antics before he got back over to his seat.

Scholl Coolered

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

We heard a celebration at Table 373, so we checked out what the commotion was about. Hicham Hilmi had just busted Lawrence Scholl on a board of {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}. Scholl had {9-Spades}{4-Spades} for two pair on the flop, but he was drawing almost dead to the {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} of Hilmi.

"Unbelievable," Scholl muttered. "Unbelievable. You could have at least had a set of eights so I had a chance..."
