Davis Sends Crouan Packing

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Matthew Sedgeman opened with an under-the-gun raise to 10,500. Action trickled around to Walter Davis in the cutoff and he moved all in over the top. Alexandre Crouan moved all in for less (42,000) from the small blind and Sedgeman folded. Davis called and the hands were turned on their backs.

Crouan: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Davis: {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

Davis jumped into the lead after the {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop came down and paired his ten. He held the lead through the {7-Clubs} turn and {7-Diamonds} river and sent Crouan to the rail. Davis now has about 240,000.

Bonyadi Takes from Yu

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Farzad Bonyadi
Farzad Bonyadi

Farzad Bonyadi is coming back with a vengeance to take the money that was denied him last year, as he's sitting with a well-above average stack after a recent win against Ben Yu.

On a {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{k-Clubs} flop, Bonyadi bet what looked to be 25,500 from the small blind and was called by Yu. The {4-Clubs} put the three-flush on board, and both players checked it to see a fourth club, the {q-Clubs}, hit the river. Bonyadi bet 35,500, and Yu thought for about a minute before making the call.

Bonyadi showed {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} for a flush, and he dragged the pot after Yu double-checked his cards and mucked.

Van Hoof's Kings Hold Up

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Jorryt van Hoof on Day 2
Jorryt van Hoof on Day 2

Dutch pot-limit omaha specialist Jorryt 'TheCleaner11' van Hoof just found himself a big double up after the bubble.

Van Hoof raised to 12,000 under the gun plus two and the action folded to Rodney Doran who three-bet from the small blind to 26,000. The big blind tanked for a while and folded after which the action was back on Van Hoof.

Van Hoof tanked for a bit but eventually he moved all in for 168,000 total.

Doran stared into the distance for quite some time before putting in the call risking most of his own chips.

Van Hoof: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Doran: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

"I folded ace-queen suited!" the player in the small blind yelled, much to Van Hoof's liking.

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and since neither player had diamonds the pot was awarded to Van Hoof.

Kaverman's Can't Shake Winzeler

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

BIg blind Byron Kaverman bet 53,000 on fourth street with the board reading {k-Spades}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, and Hans Winzeler made the call from late position. The {2-Hearts} prompted a checked from Kaverman, and Winzeler quickly checked it back. Winzeler's {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} was the winner.

Hoang Soars

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

We picked up with the action on a flop of {10-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{9-Clubs} to see Jesse Wilke, John Hoang, and Goran Mandic involved in the hand. Wilke checked and Hoang fired out a bet of 15,000. Mandic flatted and Wilke came over the top with a check-raise to 58,000. Hoang three-bet to 165,000, Mandic folded, and Wilke four-bet shoved. Hoang called for his tournament life of 437,000 and the hands were turned up.

Hoang: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Wilke: {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

Hoang led with his set of tens, but Wilke was drawing live with four to a club flush. The subsequent streets bricked out for Wilke, however, with the {Q-Spades} and the {9-Diamonds}, forcing him to ship double up chips to Hoang.

Hoang now has about 945,000 while Wilke has dropped down to 564,000.
