Miles Had a Blast

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Daniel Miles checked to Matthew Haugen on a flop of {2-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, and the former chip leader tossed out a bet of 80,000. Miles went into the tank, and then looked at his wife on the rail.

"Honey," he called out, "I'm all in."

He pushed his stacks forward, betting roughly 300,000, and Haugen made a quick called.

Haugen: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Miles: {k-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

"I need a club," Miles told his wife, who was trying to sweat the action. "Or a deuy."

A king would also give him the best hand, but unfortunately for him the turn and river both bricked {9-Spades}, {q-Diamonds} respectively.

"It's been a real blast," Miles said to the players at the table as he collected his things.

Miles earns $52,141 for his efforts, while Haugen is up above two million chips.

New Life for Leifer

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

We're not sure how things played out, but we do know that Jason Leifer just doubled through Mats Karlsson over at one of the secondary feature tables.

We're not sure when the chips went in, but we do know Leifer held the {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts} on a {2-Spades}{q-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds} board while Karlsson had {a-}{k-}. Whatever the case, the result is Leifer has twice as many chips as he did when he began the hand.

Scott Palmer

Scott Palmer raised to 50,000 and Samuel Wasserman three-bet to 125,000 in position. The action folded back to Palmer and he made the call.

The flop came down {4-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades} and both players checked.

The turn was the {J-Spades} and Palmer lead out for 200,000. Wasserman gave it some thought before ultimately raising it up to 550,000.

Palmer sat in silence for quite a while before he announced, "All in."

Wasserman looked back down at this cards and called right away for a total of 1.38 million.

Palmer tabled {6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Wasserman grimaced as he turned over {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} for top set.

The river brought the {8-Diamonds} and Wasserman was knocked out while Palmer raked in another huge pot.

"This is pretty much how my day's been going," Palmer said with a big smile. "It started off pretty bad but since then it's been amazing," the former online phenom added.
