Hand #41: One for Larrabe

Level 36 : 250,000/500,000, 50,000 ante

Martin Jacobson started this hand with the button.

Jorryt van Hoof raised to 1.2 million from early position, Andoni Larrabe called from middle position, and Billy Pappas called from the big blind to see the flop come down paired with the {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Spades}. Play checked to Larrabe, and he bet 1.6 million. Pappas folded, and then van Hoof followed suit, and Larrabe won the pot.

The Path of the 2014 World Series of Poker November Niners

Level 36 : 250,000/500,000, 50,000 ante

Back in July, 6,683 entrants ponied up $10,000 for the 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event. Unlike any other year, there was a guaranteed first-place prize on the event this time around, and that figure was a whopping $10 million.

Fast forward to today, Monday, Nov. 10, and there are just nine players left in contention. Those nine had a long, hard-fought battle to make it to the final table, but they've all made it to poker's biggest stage with hopes of shining brightest.

Here at PokerNews, we've ramped up our November Nine coverage leading up to the event. We've predicted several aspects of the final table and how it will play out, we've compiled an in-depth statistical view of each player, and we've helped you realize the stories behind all that are left. Now, we'd like to show you, the audience, just how each player's run looked, but in a graphical way.

Below you will find an infographic displaying the start-to-finish run of each of the November Niners. You can click on the image to enlarge it, so check it out:

Hand #44: Larrabe Turns Set on Newhouse

Level 36 : 250,000/500,000, 50,000 ante

Felix Stephensen had the button.

Andoni Larrabe opened to 1 million from under the gun and Mark Newhouse defended the big blind to see a {6-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} flop with Larrabe betting out 1.1 million as Newhouse called.

The turn landed the {5-Hearts} and Newhouse checked again before Larrabe fired out 2.5 million and Newhouse quickly called once again.

The river landed the {K-Clubs} and Newhouse checked for a third time as Larrabe went into the tank for several minutes before checking behind.

Newhouse quickly tabled his {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, but it would be Larrabe's {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for a turned set that would see him scoop the pot to move to over 25 million while Newhouse slipped to 16.65 million in chips
