Edwards Doubles Before Dinner Break

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

With the board reading {9-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, the action was checked to the cutoff who bet 9,000 into a pot of around 20,000. Noel Edwards was in early position and tanked for over two minutes before finally pushing all in for 14,200. His opponent called off the remaining chips and the cards were tabled.

Edwards tabled {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} and was ahead of his opponent's {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}. The river was the {8-Hearts} and Edwards held for a full double up just before the dinner break. The players are now taking a 75-minute dinner break and when the action resumes there will be just 90 players remaining, five away from the money.

Gagelonia Makes Quads and Eliminates a Player

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Johnny Gagelonia had one opponent all in and at risk before the flop.

Johnny Gagelonia: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Opponent: {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{10-Spades} and that gave Gagelonia quads. His opponent scoffed as he stood up from the table, laughing about his luck. Gagelonia moved to right around 50,000 chips after the hand.

Another Pot for Richards

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Aarryn Richards has been sitting in a comfortable position ever since building up a chip stack early on in the day. Just recently he was involved in a hand where his opponent was all in with {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and Richards tabled {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}.

The flop came {k-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Richard paired his king to take the lead. The turn was the {q-Diamonds} and the river was the {5-Spades}, securing the win for Richards as his opponent was eliminated.

Double Knockout for Zachary Seufert

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

A player moved all in from early position for just under 7,000 and the player next to act moved all in as well for 7,500. Action folded around to the button where Zachary Seufert raised over the top of both all-ins. Everyone else folded so it was a three-way showdown.

Zachary Seufert: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Opponent 1: {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Opponent 2: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} which gave Seufert a full house and a double knockout moving him to nearly 70,000 chips.

In 2015, Seufert finished 3rd in this event and is looking to improve on his performance with another deep run this year.

Dechant Pushes His Opponent Off

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

There was a raise to 2,500 from early position and Dieter Dechant called from the small blind. The flop fell {j-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and Dechant led out for 4,000. His opponent quickly raised to 8,000 and Dechant called just as fast.

The turn brought the {q-Clubs} and Dechant checked to his opponent who bet 4,500. Dechant pushed in a raise to 20,000 and that slowed the action down a bit. His opponent thought for over a minute as the two players exchanged some words and he eventually mucked hand. Dechant scooped the pot and climbed to over 60,000 chips.
