Queens Are Best for Sanders

Level 4 : 150/300, 0 ante

Two players limped in middle position, the player on the button limped, and Joseph Sanders raised to 1,500 from the small blind. All three players called.

The flop came {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades} and action checked around.

The {A-Spades} fell on the turn and Sanders bet 3,500. Both middle-position players folded and the button called.

The river was the {6-Diamonds} and both players checked. Sanders tabled {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{3-Clubs}, and although he missed his turned flush draw, his pocket queens were good enough to win the pot.

Ausmus Felts a Foe

Level 5 : 200/400, 0 ante

Aleksey Filatov raised to 800 from under the gun, the next player to act three-bet to 3,000, and Jeremy Ausmus made a pot-sized four-bet to 10,400 from the cutoff. The button and blinds folded, as did Filatov, and the three-bettor in early position called.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts} and the early-position player shoved. Ausmus called with the larger of the two stacks and both players tabled their hands.

Jeremy Ausmus: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Opponent: {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

Ausmus had the best of it with his aces and his opponent needed to improve in order to double up. The {2-Diamonds} turn kept Ausmus in the lead and he improved to top set on the {A-Spades} river to win the pot and stack his opponent.

Baud Binks the River

Level 6 : 300/600, 0 ante

Chris Baud raised to 1,300 from middle position, two players behind him called, and the big blind three-bet to 7,700. Baud shoved, the two late-position players folded, and the big blind called to put himself at risk.

Chris Baud: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Big blind: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}

Baud found himself trailing his opponent's aces and needed help from the deck in order to stack him. After the flop fell {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, Baud still needed help, but he picked up a flush draw on the {K-Clubs} turn and made his hand on the {6-Clubs} river to win the pot.
