Welcome back to Event #14: $1,500 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw where the money bubble will be close to bursting when Day 2 starts.
This event attracted a grand total of 260 entries, with 54 of those players finding a bag to continue their hunt for the bracelet. Today starts just 15 off the money as 39 players will lock up a cash today. A min-cash will award $2,276, with this year's champion taking home $84,678 in addition to the coveted gold bracelet. James Alexander currently leads the charge in chips with 80,850.
James will have plenty of other notables to compete with as we get underway including former champs Steven Wolansky, Christian Pham, Ryan D'Angelo, and last year's champion Frank Kassela. In addition Maria Ho, David "ODB" Baker, Felipe Ramos, David Bach, and Christopher Kruk are just of a few of the pro-heavy field returning today.
Play today will begin at 2 p.m. at 500/1,000 with a 250 ante. Those returning today will play ten 60-minute levels, with 15-minute breaks every 2-hours and a 60-minute dinner break at the end of Level 16 before players will bag for the third and final day.

Anson Tsang opened to 2,500 and called a three-bet worth 9,500 from Frank Kassela out of the small blind. Both players stood pat and checked their action. Kassela announced a jack-nine and Tsang quickly tabled a to win the pot.

Michael Mizrachi opened the betting to 2,100 in middle position. Daniel Weinman put in a 3-bet to 7,000. With the action directly on Stuart Rutter, he 4-bet shoved for 22,275. Mizrachi folded rather quickly and after a little deliberation, Weinman made the call. Weinman drew one and Rutter declared "pat" showing the nut low of Weinman jokingly attempted to draw three instead of the one to the amusement of the table, but tossed his hand in the muck and counted out the double for Weinman.
