A Huge Double for Vang

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Cher Vang
Cher Vang

A player in early position raised to 45,000, Cher Vang called from middle position, Micky Blasi called from the cutoff, and Chris Childers three-bet to 145,000 from the small blind. The original raiser folded, Vang called, and Blasi called.

The three players saw a flop of {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Childers bet 250,000. Vang called and Blasi folded.

The {8-Clubs} fell on the turn and Childers shoved to put Vang to a decision for his 838,000-chip stack. Vang called to put himself at risk and the two players tabled their hands.

Cher Vang: {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Chris Childers: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}

Vang had caught up to Childers's aces when he turned two pair and Childers needed help from the river in order to win the pot. The last card was the {7-Hearts} which changed nothing, so Vang took the pot and the vast majority of Childers's chips.
