Pearson Wins Without Showing

Level 8 : 100/500, 1,000 ante

With a pot of 18,000 and a flop of {a-Spades}{4-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}, Jonathan Concepcion fired a bet of 7,000 from the big blind and Michael Pearson made the call in middle position with the small blind folding. The turn brought the {8-Clubs} and it went check-check.

On the {9-Clubs} river Concepcion checked and Pearson bet 8,000 sending Concepion into the tank for a minute or so before making the call.

Pearson tossed his hand into the muck and Concepion was awarded the pot without showdown.
