Martin Over Monroe in Capped Pot

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

Richard Monroe completed with the {a-Hearts} and Martin raised from the {2-Clubs} bring-in. Monroe raised, Martin raised back and Monroe capped it. He continued firing through sixth.

Monroe: {x-}{x-}/{a-Hearts}{5-Spades}{6-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Martin: {x-}{x-}/{2-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{3-Spades}{q-Hearts}

At that point, Martin raised. He had 100,000 back and after getting word of that, Monroe called. He called the final bet on the end and Martin flicked {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} in for a set of twos. Monroe said he missed his low.

Finne Able to Squeeze Out a Chop

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

Jesse Martin brought in and Tim Finne completed. Action folded to Martin who opted to raise and Finne called. Martin fired again on fourth with two wheel cards out and Finne called. Martin then check-called on fifth before putting Finne to a test on sixth.

"That is a bad card," Finne said, looking at Martin's ace. Nonetheless, he put in his last few chips.

Jesse Martin {6-Clubs}{4-Hearts} / {2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}
Tim Finne: {Q-Spades}{J-Spades} / {3-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

Martin made a six-low but didn't have a pair. Finne, however, had only queen-high and needed to hit the river or he'd be sent to the rail.

Martin showed the {10-Hearts} so Finne needed any pair to seize a half of the chop and he found a {6-Hearts} to stay alive.

"ICM suicide for the win!" he shouted towards his railbirds, laughing.

Finne Doubles Through Martin

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante
Tim Finne
Tim Finne

Jesse Martin completed with the {7-Diamonds} and called when Tim Finne ({q-Spades}) made it two bets. Martin paired right away and took the betting lead, and they got all of Finne's money in on fifth.

Martin: {6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}/{7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Finne: {q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}/{q-Spades}{5-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Finne was in solid shape with queens up, but Martin grabbed the {8-Clubs} on sixth to pick up straight outs and a possibility of making a low. He bricked with the {10-Diamonds} though and Finne didn't need any further improvement to double.

Both Richard Monroe and Benjamin Dobson were paired, the latter with eights and the former with fives, when they checked fifth. All the chips found the middle on sixth though, with Dobson betting and Monroe raising all in for slightly less than a full bet.

Monroe: {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}/{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Dobson: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}/{q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

Monroe needed help but flicked in the {k-Diamonds}, relegating him to a fourth-place finish.

"Apparently, Queens Up Is a Good Hand in This Game"

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

Jesse Martin brought in with the {2-Spades} and called when Tim Finne completed with a queen out. Finne barreled on fourth, fifth and sixth and Martin continued, calling.

The river was checked and Finne turned up his {Q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. "Queens up," he declared, prompting a muck from Martin.

"Apparently, queens up is a good hand in this game," Finne said to his railbirds.

Tim Finne: {Q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} / {Q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{K-Hearts}
Jesse Martin: {X-}{X-}{X-} / {2-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}

Martin Getting Short

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

Jesse Martin completed with the {10-Hearts} and Tim Finne raised with the {2-Spades}. He bet fourth as well but fifth is where things got interesting.

Martin: {x-}{x-}/{10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Finne: {x-}{x-}/{2-Spades}{7-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

Martin fired after seeing Finne catch a high card but Finne raised. Martin tanked awhile and called. He caught the {6-Hearts} and Finne paired with the {k-Diamonds}, and a bet on sixth resulted in a Martin fold.

Martin Doubles with Buried Aces

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

Jesse Martin: {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} / {K-Spades}{A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} / {4-Diamonds}
Benjamin Dobson: {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs} / {Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} / {J-Spades}

Ben Dobson completed and Jesse Martin raised. Dobson called and called again on fourth. Martin barreled on fifth and Dobson paused. Then he raised and Martin called for 100,000 more.

When the cards were turned up, Dobson found the bad news. Martin had aces in the hole and improved to trips on fourth street.

"Nine-ten?" Dobson desperately asked. But the {2-Hearts} on sixth left him drawing dead and Martin secured his double.

Level: 30

Bring In 20,000 - Completion 80,000

Finne Doubles Against Kings

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Tim Finne was the bring-in and called after Ben Dobson completed. Finne bet on fourth and Dobson stuck around to spike a pair on fifth. They put the chips into the middle and Dobson saw that he wasn't in the lead with his kings as Finne had aces in the hole.

Tim Finne: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} / {3-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} / {8-Diamonds}
Benjamin Dobson: {Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs} / {K-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{J-Clubs} / {10-Hearts}

Finne made trips on sixth street but Dobson wasn't drawing dead just yet as he had a club draw. He peeled a red card on the river, however, and Finne doubled up.
