Caruthers Hits Lucky River

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

David Caruthers got his money in the middle after he potted, saw it being repotted and he shoved all-in. The call was from Georgios Karavokyris.

David Caruthers: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Georgios Karavokyris: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Hearts}

The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{K-Spades}{3-Spades}{K-Clubs} and with that river, Caruthers won the pot.

Adam Johnson Eliminated by Robert Cowen

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Adam Johnson limped and when the action got to Robert Cowen he made it 6,000. Johnson called and both players saw the {4-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} flop appear.

That's the point where all the chips got in within seconds.

Cowen showed {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for two pair and Johnson showed {A-Diamonds}{8-}{7-}{5-} with the nut diamond draw.

The board bricked out with the {2-Clubs} turn and the {K-Spades} river and the pot went to Cowen, while Johnson is eliminated from the tournament.

Reichenstein Slows Cada Down

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
Joe Cada
Joe Cada

Joe Cada was running over the table for the first 80 minutes of play until this hand.

Joe Cada opened to 4,000 from late position and was called by Uri Rechenstein in the cutoff. The flop came down {2-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Cada bet 5,000. Rechenstein called and the turn came the {3-Hearts}.

Cada check-called a bet of 14,000 from Rechenstein and the {5-Hearts} landed on the river. Action checked to Rechenstein who pushed 40,000 worth of yellow chips into the middle. Cada took several moments before finally making the fold and Rechenstein scooped a healthy pot.
