Action Begins at 11:00 a.m. in Event #3: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em SHOOTOUT

Players will be entering the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino early today for Event #3: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em SHOOTOUT. The reigning champ from last year is Upeshka De Silva, a Texas native who secured his second bracelet at the time along with a $229,923 cash. The event had a field of 369 entries and a prize pool of $996,300.

The action will be starting at 11:00 a.m. local time with each player receiving a starting stack of 15,000 chips. The blinds will begin at 25/50 and will increase every 40 minutes. There will be a 15-minute break after every three levels and the blinds will be increased to 60-minute levels on Day 2, with a 60-minute dinner break added after Level 9.

Players will have until the end of the third level (1:15 p.m.) for late registration. All Day 1 tables will play until one player from each table remains and those players will advance to Day 2, which is slated to begin tomorrow at 12 p.m.
