Ramdin Scores a Knockout

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante
Victor Ramdin
Victor Ramdin

Victor Ramdin was heads up with his opponent on the turn on a board reading {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}. The player moved all in for about 4,000 into a main pot of close to 10,000. Ramdin called turning over {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Spades} and his opponent showed {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}.

Both players had flopped nine-high straights but the {6-Hearts} hit the river giving Ramdin a better ten-high straight to earn the pot and the elimination.

Wantman Continues to Climb

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

The under-the-gun player limped in and Kay Coulston raised to 450. Michael Ma called and Matthew Wantman reraised to 2,000 from the button. It folded back to Coulston who called and Ma called as well.

They went three-handed to the {j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop and it checked to Wantman who tossed out a bet of 3,000. Coulston quickly folded and Ma thought it over for a bit before also folding. Wantman scooped the pot without showdown and continues to climb here in the early levels.

Preflop Pot for Samoilenko

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

There had already been an opening raise when Jose "Nacho" Barbero reraised to 1,200. That was called by Gustavo Echeverri, but then Dmytro Samoilenko opted to reraise again to 5,500.

Barbero and Echeverri both ended up folding and Samoilenko only showed a {j-Hearts} and a {3-Clubs} before claiming the pot.
