Ramos Scoops a Small Pot

Level 4 : 50/100, 0 ante
Felipe Ramos
Felipe Ramos

Big-O

Felipe Ramos saw a {2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} flop with three other players. They all checked to see the {9-Hearts} turn appear.

This time it checked to the player in the cutoff and they bet out 500. Ramos was the only player who called.

The river was the {3-Spades} and Ramos checked to the player in the cutoff. They checked and Ramos opened up {Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for the nut low and a straight. He scooped the small pot after his opponent threw their cards in the muck.

Omaha-8

The action folded around to Martin Staszko in the small blind who raised it up and was called by Douglas O'Neal in the big blind. The flop came {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Staszko led out with a bet which was called by O'Neal.

The {2-Spades} paired the board on the turn and both players checked to the {k-Hearts} on the river. Staszko checked again but O'Neal tossed in a bet this time. Staszko quickly called and O'Neal turned over {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds} for trip deuces and an eight low. Staszko sent his cards to the muck and O'Neal scooped the pot.

Vonk Wins a Small One

Level 3 : 50/75, 0 ante

Omaha-8

With two bets laying in front of Marcel Vonk and his opponent, the board read {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. Vonk's opponent checked-called a bet to see the {9-Clubs} appear on the turn.

Both players checked this time. The river was the {8-Spades} and it checked to Vonk again. Vonk bet out another time and that was enough to win the pot.

It looks like Vonk did lose a pot, since he lost about half his chips since we last saw him.

Back Scoops a Big One

Level 3 : 50/75, 0 ante

Big-O

Christopher Back was in the small blind and went heads-up to the flop with the cutoff. The flop came {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Back led out for 350 which his opponent called.

The turn brought the {9-Hearts} and Back fired another 800 with his opponent still calling. The river was the {k-Clubs} and Back tossed in a bet of 2,500. His opponent went into the tank for at least two minutes and then elected to call. Back tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for two pair and the nut low which turned out to be good enough to scoop the pot.

Gagliano and Visser Chop Three-Way All-In

Level 3 : 50/75, 0 ante

Big-O

Frank Visser opened under the gun to 225 and got one call before another player raised to 1,025. Steven Gagliano called the raise, as did Visser and the other player.

The flop was {3-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{10-Spades} and it checked to the preflop three-bettor. He bet pot, worth 4,225, and Gagliano pushed all in for 4,300. Visser also pushed all in for around 7,000. The other player in the hand folded, and the preflop three-bettor went all in as well.

Frank Visser: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Steven Gagliano: {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}
Three-bettor: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

The board completed with the {9-Hearts}, giving Visser the nut flush, and the {8-Clubs}, giving Gagliano the best low hand.

The other player in the hand was left with just 800 in chips while Gagliano and Visser started stacking.

Another Hand, Another Chop

Level 3 : 50/75, 0 ante

PLO-8

Damjan Radanov opened to 200 from early position and James Alexander reraised to 400 on the button. The blinds folded and Radanov called to go heads up to a flop of {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{6-Clubs}. Radanov check-called a bet of 500 from Alexander and the {7-Diamonds} rolled off on the turn.

Radanov checked again and Alexander splashed in a bet of 1,150. Radanov quickly called and the {3-Diamonds} completed the board. Radanov checked for the third time and Alexander checked behind. Radanov tabled {a-}{9-}{7-}{2-} for middle pair and the nut low while Alexander showed {a-}{k-}{q-}{4-} for a pair of kings and a worse low. The two players each took their money back and carried on with the next hand.
