Hellmuth bet 5,000 and was faced with a reraise of 34,900, which was effectively all-in for the 14 times bracelet winner. Hellmuth passed and Buck garners a nice addition to his stack.
Phil Hellmuth had been the short stack for a while but after the last hand, he is not anymore. After a 3,500 open from Nikolai Sears, James Worth, Phil Hellmuth and Jack Shea all came along to see a flop.
The dealer put out and it was checked all round. It was the turned that generated the action though. After three checks, Hellmuth put 7,000 over the line and Shea upped it to 17,000. This got everyone else out of the way and Hellmuth moved all-in for just 8,400 more. It was a snap-call from Shea and they turned their cards on their backs.
Phil Hellmuth:
Jack Shea:
There were just two outs to pull this one back for Shea and but the river was safe for Hellmuth and he collected. This left Shea the shortest at the table.
The flop read and Curtis Rystadt was all-in for 51,200 from the small blind and Endrit Geci called on the button with the bigger stack.
"It was nice playing with you Curtis!" Richard Alati said.
Curtis Rystadt:
Endrit Geci:
Rystadt had two over cards and Geci had flopped top pair.
The rest of the board was completed with the on the turn to give Rystadt the higher pair and the on the river didn't change the situation. Rystadt doubled up.
"What I meant is, it is so nice playing with you, I don't want you to leave!" Alati quipped quickly.
James Worth opened to 4,000 in middle position and Thomas Taylor defended his big blind.
It was heads-up on the flop and Taylor checked to Worth, who made it 6,500 to go further. Taylor called and on they went to the turn.
It was a and after another check from Taylor, Worth barreled for 13,000. Once again Taylor called.
Finally, there was an on the river and for a final time, Worth bet again. This time it was for a slightly larger 15,000. Taylor decided to pass and Worth has moved into second in chips.
Joseph Sabe raised to 3,500 from early position and only Demosthenes Kiriopoulos called from the big blind.
They both checked through the on the flop and the on the turn to the on the river. Kiriopoulos bet 4,500 and Sabe called without hesitating long. Kiriopoulos showed for queen-high. Sabe tabled for the pair of nines which was good enough to take the pot down.
