Shea Eliminated By Worth

Level 20 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

With only 25,600 left to play with, and the table short-stack by a significant margin, Jack Shea decided to get all his chips in just now.

James Worth opened for 5,000 on the cutoff and Shea shoved all-in from the big blind. Worth called and when the cards went over, the all-in player was the slight favorite.

Jack Shea {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
James Worth {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The flop came an interesting {8-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, which gave Worth top pair but Shea a flush draw and one overcard to the board.

The {5-Diamonds} turn changed nothing and the river bricked with a {j-Diamonds}. Shea has hit the rail, whilst the remaining players are now five-handed.

Morris Gets Some Folds

Level 20 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Arthur Morris raised to 4,500 from the under-the-gun position and was called by Jesse Kertland in mid-position and Raghav Bansal in the big blind.

The flop came {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, Bansal checked, Morris fired another 10,000 in the pot. Kertland considered it for a bit but folded, Bansal did the same.

Buck Downed by Lakhov

Level 20 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Alexander Lakhov
Alexander Lakhov

Dana Buck started things off with a cutoff open to 4,500. Lakhov was the only player who showed any interest, raising it up to 17,000. With the action back on Buck, he four-bet to 104,000 and was snap-called by Lakhov.

Alexander Lakhov {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Dana Buck {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Buck was the one who's tournament life was on the line and he needed some help to stay in the game.

The {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} flop showed an ace in the window but it also made a set for Lakhov. On to the {j-Hearts} turn and there was a little hope as it gave Buck two pair and there were two aces that could save him.

Unfortunately, the {8-Clubs} river was not what he needed and Buck had to make his way to the exit in 5th place. That leaves four players remaining.

Taylor Takes from Hellmuth

Level 21 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Thomas Taylor
Thomas Taylor

Players have just returned from the break and Phil Hellmuth and Thomas Taylor have just gotten involved in a hand together.

Hellmuth began by opening to 7,000 and only Taylor fancied seeing a flop, calling on the button.

It was a {3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} flop that saw Hellmuth check and Taylor check behind. On the {3-Clubs} turn, Hellmuth check-called Taylor's bet of 6,500.

The final card was a {10-Spades}, pairing the board for a second time. Hellmuth checked once more and Taylor put 16,000 over the line. It was enough to convince Hellmuth to fold and Taylor scooped the pot.

Burstein Eliminates Milisits

Level 21 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Vladimir Burstein
Vladimir Burstein

Vladimir Burstein put in his whole stack of yellow 1,000-value chips on the button, worth about 30,000 and Ryan Milisits shoved all in for about the same. Alexandre Reard, sitting in the big blind, quickly folded.

Ryan Milisits: {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Vladimir Burstein: {A-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{a-Clubs}, even though Milisits hit a ten on the flop, the ace on the river meant Burstein ended up with the higher pair to eliminate Milisits from the tournament.
