Hands #51-56: Albrinck Survives With a Chop

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Hand #51: Kevin Song raised from under the gun and Robert Nehorayan three-bet, which Song called. Nehorayan bet on the {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop and Song folded.

Hand #52: Oleg Chebotarev raised from middle position, Matt Russell called in the small blind, and Song called in the big blind. The flop came down {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{q-Spades}, both blinds checked to Chebotarev, and he bet, which Russell called but Song folded. The turn came the {8-Diamonds}, and Russell check-folded to a bet.

Hand #53: Nehorayan raised before Russell called on the button and they saw the {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{k-Spades} flop. Nehorayan bet and Russell folded.

Hand #54: Chebotarev raised from early position and Terricita Gutierrez called in the cutoff. Gutierrez check-called a bet on the {8-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop before both players checked on the {j-Clubs} turn and the {9-Spades} river. Chebotarev turned over {a-Spades}{j-Spades} for a pair and won the pot.

Hand #55: Russell raised and everyone folded.

Hand #56: Brad Albrinck raised, and Jex three-bet in the cutoff, which got called. On the {a-Spades}{7-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} flop, Albrinck check-raised Jex and the latter called. On the {4-Diamonds} turn, Albrinck bet 40,000, which left him with just 14,000 behind. Jex thought through his options out loud before he made the call.

Brad Albrinck: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Michael Jex: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

"Oh, I'm ahead of that, I put you on ace-king," said Jex. Before the river was revealed to be the {4-Hearts} which gave both two players two pair, aces, and fours, with a king kicker for a split pot as Albrinck survived.
