Brendan Taylor

Omaha Hi-Lo

Brendan Taylor opened with a raise and was called by Hani Awad in the cutoff, Levon Torosyan on the button and Carl Restifo in the big blind.

The flop was {K-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and all the players checked around to the {6-Clubs} on the turn. There, action checked to Taylor who bet. Awad and Torosyan called while Restifo folded.

Taylor bet again on the {3-Spades} river and both players called. Taylor showed {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for kings and eights as well as the nut low. Torosyan showed {A-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for the nut low as well. Awad ended up mucking his hand so Taylor grabbed three quarters of the pot.

Eddie Blumenthal: {X-}{X-} / {7-Clubs}
Cyndy Violette: {X-}{X-} / {A-Diamonds}

Eddie Blumenthal completed, Cyndy Violette raised, Blumenthal reraised and Violette called all in for 37,000 total.

Eddie Blumenthal: {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} / {7-Clubs}
Cyndy Violette: {A-Hearts}{7-Spades} / {A-Diamonds}

"Well that's just about the worst hand I can see," said Blumenthal, referencing that not only was he trailing but that one of his sevens was dead. Here were the rest of their runouts prior to seventh street:

Eddie Blumenthal: {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} / {7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{7-Hearts}
Cyndy Violette: {A-Hearts}{7-Spades} / {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{10-Spades}

Blumenthal caught the case seven to pull way ahead on sixth street. He caught the {9-Diamonds} on seventh to remain at trips, giving Violette a slim chance to survive. However, she turned over a {4-Diamonds} to exit in 13th place.
