Ramos Stays Alive

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Jameson Painter raised it up from under the gun and Felipe Ramos stuck in his last 4,200 next to act. Eric Rodawig also came along from the big blind and the flop came {k-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}.

Rodawig and Painter were heads-up on the side pot and Rodawig checked to Painter who tossed in a bet. Rodawig check-raised and Painter called. The turn was the {8-Clubs} and Rodawig fired out another bet. Painter stuck around to see the {6-Spades} on the river. Rodawig bet again and Painter called.

Rodawig tabled {10-}{9-}{7-}{2-} for a straight and Painter showed {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for the low. The two players chopped the side pot but Felipe Ramos held {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for a full house. Ramos and Painter chopped the main pot but Ramos is still one of the shortest stacks in the room.

Panyak Sent to the Rail by Vieira

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante
Joao Vieira
Joao Vieira

Stud Hi-Lo

Joao Vieira: {x-}{x-}/{A-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Maxim Panyak: {x-}{x-}/{5-Clubs}{K-Spades}

Action was on fourth street in a three-way pot. Joao Vieira put out a bet and Maxim Panyak raised, making it two bets. The other player in the hand folded and Vieira asked for a count before making it three bets. Panyak moved all in and Vieira called. Vieira had {3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} under while Panyak held {8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

Here's how their board ran out:

Joao Vieira: {3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}/{A-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}/{10-Clubs}
Maxim Panyak: {8-Clubs}{3-Clubs} /{5-Clubs}{K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}/{8-Hearts}

Panyak made a pair of eights on seventh which meant that Vieira had a slew of outs to send Panyak to the rail. Vieira sweated and peeled the {10-Clubs} and it was just enough to earn him the pot while Panyak was sent to the rail just before the bubble.

Johns and St Jean Split It Up

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

On a board reading {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, Ian Johns led out from the big blind. Alex Livingston called and Larry St Jean put in a raise. Both Johns and Livingston called to see the {7-Clubs} on the river.

The action checked to St Jean who tossed in another bet and Johns and Livingston both called again. St Jean flipped over {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for the nut low, leaving Johns and Livingston to fight for the other half of the pot. Livingston announced a straight with {5-}{3-} but Johns had a bigger one with {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Johns and St Jean split the pot while Livingston was left with nothing.

Ramirez Gets Chopped Up

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Delmiro Toledo: {x-}{x-} / {7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts} / {x-}
Carl Restifo: {x-}{x-} / {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} / {x-}
Sergio Ramirez: {x-}{x-} / {8-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{6-Clubs} / {x-}

Carl Restifo held the betting lead throughout the hand and he bet fourth, fifth, and sixth. Each time, he was called by Sergio Ramirez and Delmiro Toledo. On seventh, the action checked around and the cards were tabled.

Restifo showed {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for a seven low and Toledo held {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for a pair of kings. Ramirez studied his cards for a few moments but was unable to beat either hand, as Restifo and Toledo chopped up his chips.

Negreanu Sent to the Rail by Groth

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Stud Hi-Lo

A short-stacked Daniel Negreanu stuck around for a bit but was just recently done in by Tyler Groth. Negreanu completed, moving all in for 2,400 with the {9-Diamonds} and Groth called with the {8-Spades}. Another player called with the {4-Hearts} but folded on fourth street when Groth bet into the heads-up pot.

Negreanu and Groth's boards ran out like so.

Tyler Groth: {9-Clubs}{10-Hearts}/{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}/{A-Hearts}
Daniel Negreanu: {5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}/{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}/{3-Spades}

Groth made a pair on fourth street but Negreanu was still in the lead. He stayed in the lead all the way up to seventh street when Groth revealed his {A-Hearts}. Negreanu needed to improve but he couldn't find the nine he needed to do so, so he was sent to the rail before the money bubble.

Bryan Pimlott: {x-}{x-} / {q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} / {x-}
Eric Rodawig: {x-}{x-} / {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{5-Spades} / {x-}

Eric Rodawig held the betting lead throughout with a pair of jacks showing and he led out on fourth and fifth streets. Bryan Pimlott called on fourth, but raised on fifth with three diamonds on his board.

On sixth, Rodawig check-called a bet from Pimlott and both players checked on seventh. Pimlott rolled over {k-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for a flush and Rodawig mucked his hand.
