A record-breaking 476 players took to the felt in Event #49: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship, but just 37 will return for Day 3 action at 2 p.m. local time. All those remaining are guaranteed a payday of at least $21,028, but all eyes are on the top prize of $1,018,336 and coveted gold bracelet.
Leading the way is Ryan Hughes, who began Day 2 as the chip leader and bagged a sizable 2,366,000-chip stack 10 swingy levels later. But with a whole slew of highly accomplished players still in the mix, the path to victory won't be easy for anybody. Three-time bracelet winner Rep Porter sits in the second spot on the leaderboard with 1.7 million; Brandon Shack-Harris (1.2 million), famed poker YouTuber Joey Ingram (749,000), and previous November Niner Matt Giannetti (586,000) are all still in the hunt, as well.

Day 3 action is officially underway.
In one of the first hands of the day, Mack Lee raised to 45,000 and Mike Leah in the big blind three-bet the pot, making it 145,000 to go. Lee called and the flop fell . Leah moved all in almost instantly for 124,000 and Lee was sent into the think tank. After some consideration, Lee folded and Leah chipped up without showdown.

There was a substantial pot already brewing and the board read when we got to the table. Rep Porter was in the big blind and checked to his lone opponent, Anson Tsang, who was in the cutoff. Tsang bet 150,000 and Porter called.
The hit the river and Porter bet 450,000. Tsang went into the tank for about a minute before he ultimately folded and Porter took the sizeable pot to put his stack over the 2-million chip mark.

Picking up the action on the three-way turn of , Tim Marsters checked out of the small blind and Richard Gryko pushed all in for 202,000 in the big blind with a sizable pot already having emerged. Ardit Kurshumi in the cutoff called all in for 84,000 and the action was back on Marsters, who had Gryko barely covered.
He even apologized for taking a long time and eventually folded.

Scotty Nguyen opened to 65,000 from under the gun and Loren Klein, who was next to act, three-bet to 240,000. Nguyen called.
The flop came and Nguyen checked. Klein shoved for 384,000 and Nguyen quickly called with a covering stack.

Nguyen had the lead with his set of jacks and Klein needed help from the deck to survive. Although Nguyen retained his edge on the turn, the hit the river to give Klein a set of aces for the double-up.

The cards were all but rushed away and Dario Sammartino claimed the stack of Daniel Aharoni to reduce the field to the last 35 hopefuls.
At almost the same time one table over, LaDarren Banks held up with a turned straight against the gutshot and flush draw of Mark Davidoff when his ended up best on the board of . Davidoff had bricked with for a lot of outs.

Scotty Nguyen raised from early position, Anton Morgenstern three-bet from the small blind, Nguyen shoved for about 200,000, and Morgenstern called to put Nguyen at risk.

Morgenstern had the edge with his aces and Nguyen needed to improve to stay alive. The board ran out and Morgenstern took the pot with top set to end Nguyen's tournament.
