Loeser Bluffs Mercier?

Level 10 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Jason Mercier raised to 34,000 and Manig Loeser called. Mikita Badziakouski also called in the big blind. The flop came {6-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Badziakouski checked and Mercier continued for 46,000. Loeser called and Badziakouski folded. The turn was the {2-Clubs}.

Mercier bet 108,000 and again Loeser called.

The river was the {2-Hearts}. Mercier checked and Loeser bet 575,000. Mercier folded. "That would have been a sick bluff," he said to Loeser, who sits on over one million chips.

Eiler Welcomes Schwippert to His Table

Level 10 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

One table already broke in the Amazon room and Jan-Eric Schwippert was moved to the right of Andreas Eiler. Schwippert opened to 35,000 from middle position and Eiler greeted him with a three-bet to 125,000. The action folded back to Schwippert who made the call and the two players went heads-up to the flop of {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}.

Schwippert checked to Eiler who continued for another 125,000 and Schwipper thought for a moment before calling. The {q-Diamonds} landed on the turn and Schwippert checked again. Eiler announced a bet of 225,000 and Schwippert instantly pushed his cards to the middle face down.

Level 10 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
David Peters on Day 1
David Peters on Day 1

With the board reading {6-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and a hefty sum in the middle, David Peters (early position) was in the tank facing a decision for his remaining 400,000-ish against Ryan Riess, who had set him all in from the cutoff.

After a little while, Peters called all in.

Riess tabled {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} for nines full of threes, Peters showed a defeated {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, and Riess scored the elimination.

"Don't Be Mad, Bryn"

Level 10 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Cary Katz
Cary Katz

Cary Katz opened to 35,000 from under the gun and Bryn Kenney re-raised to 102,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Katz made the call to see a flop of {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. Both players checked and the {6-Clubs} rolled off on the turn.

Katz checked again and Kenney fired a delayed continuation bet of 77,000. Katz called and the {q-Clubs} completed the board. Katz led out for 75,000 this time and Kenney quickly called. Katz turned over {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for a flush and Kenney disgustingly threw his cards to the muck.

"If I jam the turn, do I double up?" Katz asked.

"Yes," Kenney replied frustratingly.

"Don't be mad, Bryn."
