Russell Rosenblum Eliminated in 6th Place ($49,146)

Russell Rosenblum

Hand #40: Jay Farber made it 125,000 from under the gun. Christian Nolte called in middle position and Russell Rosenblum three-bet all in from the small blind. After a brief tank from Farber, he folded but it was a quick call from Nolte.

Christian Nolte: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Russell Rosenblum {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Rosenblum was at risk with the worst of it and though he connected on the {j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{a-Hearts} flop, Nolte hit the better pair and Rosenblum had two live outs or running cards only. The {3-Spades} turn meant only one of the two jacks could save Rosenblum but it was a {q-Hearts} brick on the river.

Mikhail Semin Eliminated in 9th Place ($21,759)

Level 29 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Mihkail Semin
Mihkail Semin

Hand #18: First hand back from the break and it folded round to Mikhail Semin on the hijack and after considering his options he moved in for 1,000,000. Ranno Sootla was on his direct left and after getting a count, he moved all-in over the top.

Ranno Sootla: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Mikhail Semin: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}

Sootla was the massive favorite preflop and the {j-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop all but sealed the deal for him. It was all over by the {3-Spades} turn and the {7-Hearts} river was too little, too late for Semin, who headed for the cage to collect his ninth-place prize money.
