It's Hoang's Tournament

Level 8 : 300/600, 0 ante

Kate Hoang made it 2,100 and called when her opponent re-potted preflop. He moved in his last few hundreds before the {6-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} flop hit the felt and Hoang called, holding {A-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{8-Spades}. She was up against {A-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and the {8-Diamonds} turn and {J-Spades} river gave her the winner as she paired her eight.

"I guess it's my tournament," Hoang said while stacking the chips.

Johnson Eliminated Before Break

Level 8 : 300/600, 0 ante

Marco Johnson defended his big blind against a 2,100-raise from Lee Watkinson in the cutoff. The flop fell {Q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Johnson led out 4,500. Watkinson put Johnson all in for about 2,000 more and Johnson called off.

Watkinson had {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Johnson's {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades} failed to catch up on the turn and river.

"The Only Card That I Can't Call"

Level 8 : 300/600, 0 ante

Marcel Luske made it 1,250 under the gun, inviting his neighbor Roland Israelashvili to the pot. Tim Frazin joined from the hijack and the player in the big blind called as well so they went four-way to the {2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{J-Spades} flop.

Luske blasted 4,400 and only Frazin called, leaving himself with just 2,325.

The turn was the {3-Spades} and Luske put Frazin at risk.

"It's the only card that I can't call," Frazin said with his voice expressing disappointment and amazement at the same time.

"Wow, at least it came on the turn," Frazin added while mucking his hand. "I had jacks up."

Luske, in return, revealed three of his cards, exposing {A-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for a wrap turned wheel.

McDermott Zeroed

Level 8 : 300/600, 0 ante

Tim McDermott was on a nub and he raise-called all in preflop for about 4,000 or so. He held {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Spades} versus {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and asked for hearts.

The {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades} board, however, brought a flush for his opponent instead and McDermott said his goodbyes before leaving the table.

A Sizable Side Pot for Sharaskin

Level 8 : 300/600, 0 ante

The small blind was all-in preflop for 3,525 against three players, including Igor Sharaskin, who was in middle position.

The flop came {J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and action checked to Sharaskin. He bet the pot and the player on the button called to put himself at risk.

Igor Sharaskin: {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs}
Small blind: {A-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Button: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

Sharaskin had the best of it with jacks up and both of his opponents needed help to get any piece of the pot. The {3-Hearts} on the turn and {6-Clubs} on the river meant the small blind would scoop the main pot with the nut flush and 7-6-3-2-A low while Sharaskin stacked the button in the side pot.

Turner Scooped by Two Opponents

Level 8 : 300/600, 0 ante

Three-way to the river of the {4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{6-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} board, a player in the small blind potted for 6,900. Jon Turner, sitting under the gun, called and so did the third player, closing the action in the cutoff.

The small blind turned up {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Turned declared that he had ace-three. But the cutoff opened his {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for nut low and chopped Turner's chips with the small blind.

Scott Clements and Barry Greenstein each put 1,700 chips in before they saw a flop of {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Spades}. Clements checked from the cutoff, Greenstein bet 2,500 from the button, and Clements called.

The turn brought the {10-Hearts} and Clements checked. Greenstein bet again, 6,000 this time. Clements folded and Greenstein took the pot.
