Jonathan Abdellatif Advances as Massive Chipleader to Day 3 of $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em

Jonathan Abdellatif ended Day 2 of Event #54 Big Blind Antes $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em as the overwhelming chipleader with 2,725,000 in chips. They played ten 60-minute levels on Day 2 and the field got whittled down from 252 players to 31 players. Other big stacks in the hunt include Barry Hutter (953,000), Marciano Cruz (807,000), Todd Ivens (780,000) and David "MissOracle" Yan (714,000).

Abdellatif made it to Day 3 and with a massive 2,725,000 after sneaking in the money with just 50,000 in chips. It seemed as if no one was able to stop the Belgian poker player from winning pot after pot. In fact, he the only player in the field that has over 1 million chips. Abdellatif's stack is so massive that he already holds has 20% of the chips with 31 players left in the tournament.

The day started with a flurry of bust outs and the field very quickly went down from 252 players to 160 and close in on the money. Players that did make Day 2, but didn’t end up making in it the money include Sam Phillips, Muskan Sethi, Arne Ruge, and Chance Kornuth.

Others that did make it the money but did not make it through to Day 3 are Athanasios Polychronopoulos (153rd - $4,513), Kathy Liebert (139th - $4,513), Matt Salsberg (118th - $4,720), Calvin Anderson (111th - $4,720), Michael Ruane (85th - $5,441), Bertrand Grospellier (65th - $6,712), and Scotty Nguyen (45th - $10,387).

There is still the possibility of another female WSOP champion with Nikita Luther (392,000), Kristen Bicknell (298,000), and Anna Antimony (200,000) still in the tournament.
