Simao Pushes All In

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante
Joao Simao
Joao Simao

The player in the hijack raised to 300 and Bruno Portaro called from the cutoff. Joao Simao sat on the button and he put in a three-bet to 1,050. Both blinds folded and so did the initial raiser. Portaro called to see the flop.

The flop was {4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Portaro check-called a bet of 800. The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and Portaro check-called again, but this time Simao's bet was 1,500. The {K-Hearts} river completed the board and Portaro checked to Simao who pushed all-in for his last 6,500.

Portaro was visibly in doubt about what the best move was and ended up folding his hand.

Parades Enters; Immediately Busts a Player

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

David Parades registered late but has already gotten active. After three-betting preflop, Parades called a four-bet shove for not much more.

David Parades: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Opponent: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}

Parades collected the small pot after a clean {10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades}{a-Hearts} run out.

Green Doubles Aces VS Kings

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

With about 9,000 already piled up in the middle on the flop of a {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{8-Spades} board, Brian Green moved all in for 10,050 and his heads-up opponent, Stefan Ivanov, was in the tank.

A few moments went by before Ivanov made the call and saw the bad news.

Brian Green: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}
Stefan Ivanov: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Ivanov found no help from a {4-Hearts}{8-Clubs} run out and was forced to move the majority of his stack to his right.

Macdonald Off to a Great Start

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante
Norm Macdonald
Norm Macdonald

Norm Macdonald just sat down at the table with Anton Wigg and Pierre Neuville. Macdonald won a bit pot right away and started the tournament off well.

The board was already complete with {7-Spades}{2-Spades}{9-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} laying on the table. The pot had 9,000 in it and Macdonald put out a bet of 5,000, which is 100 big blinds at this point of the tournament.

His opponent ended up calling after a while and Macdonald opened up {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for a flopped set of sevens, while his opponent mucked his hand while saying he had pocket aces.
