Jacobson and Strelitz Trade Pots

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

On a board reading {a-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{a-Spades}, Martin Jacobson checked from the big blind to Daniel Strelitz to his left. Strelitz bet 16,000 and Jacobson thought for a moment before making the call. The river was the {3-Spades} and Jacobson checked again. Strelitz bet 35,000 and Jacobson instantly called. Strelitz tabled {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for a full house and Jacobson mucked his cards.

In the next hand, the action folded to Jacobson in the small blind who shipped all in for 35,500. Strelitz asked for a count and then made the call. Jacobson tabled {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} which was in a dominating position against the {k-Spades}{8-Spades} of Strelitz.

The flop fell {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{3-Spades} and both players made a pair, Jacobson with the best one. Strelitz did pick up a flush draw to give Jacobson a bit of a sweat. The turn was the {7-Hearts} and the river improved Jacobson's hand as the {a-Clubs} hit the felt. Jacobson earned a double-up as the two players exchanged a couple of pots.
