Adams Gives Up to Conan on the Turn

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Arthur Conan had opened the button preflop and Justin Adams called from the big blind.

The flop was {9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Adams checked to Conan, who bet 4,500. Adams raised to 14,000 and Conan peeled, taking them on to the turn. It was a {7-Diamonds}, which paired the board and Adams deferred the action to Conan, who made a bet of 10,000. It got a fold from Adams and Conan took down the pot.

Spinella Surges Into the Lead

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

A completed board of {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} was showing and Anthony Spinella was the first to act. Spinella checked to Ryan Drossel who slid in a bet of 35,000 into a pot of a little over 60,000. Spinella check-raised all in, putting Drossel to the test for his remaining 47,000 chips.

Drossel thought for a brief moment but quickly sent his cards to the muck. Spinella raked in another healthy pot and has taken over the chip lead as the only player over the 400,000 chip mark. Spinella was also the one to send Liv Boeree to the rail earlier in the day, accumulating the majority of his chips in that pot.

Dutweiler Doubles Through Spinella

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Anthony Spinella
Anthony Spinella

Tobias Dutweiler moved all in for 29,700 under the gun and only one person was interested, Anthony Spinella, who was sat in the small blind.

It was an over pair for Dutweiler who held {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} against Spinella's {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}.

The {3-Spades}{4-Spades}{a-Spades}{q-Spades}{3-Hearts} gave Dutweiler a flush by the river and he gets a much-needed double up. Meanwhile, Spinella is cruising on over 400,000.

Stefanski Doubles with Aces

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Claas Segebrecht opened to 5,500 from the cutoff and Dave Stefanski three-bet to 15,800 on the button. The blinds folded and Segebrecht four-bet shoved all in. Stefanski quickly called and tabled {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} against Segebrecht's {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

The flop came {a-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Stefanski hit a set of aces to leave Segebrecht drawing extremely thin. The {7-Spades} on the turn sealed the deal and the {7-Diamonds} on the river was just a formality. Stefanski was all in for 125,200 but has now double up and merely swapped stacks with Segebrecht.

Karlins Was Halfway Out the Door

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

After a series of preflop raises, Marvin Karlins found himself all in for 143,400 on the button against Daniel Dizenzo in the small blind. Karlins held {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} but unfortunately ran into the {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} of Dizenzo.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Dizenzo flopped a set of kings to hold a commanding lead after the flop. The turn was the {6-Clubs} and the river brought the {10-Clubs}. As the dealer started to count Karlins' chips, he was still a little bit confused.

"I think he has me covered," Karlins piped up.

"You know you won the hand, right?" another player asked him. "You made a straight."

"Oh. Sorry, I didn't even see that," Karlins said with a bit more excitement in his voice.

Karlins nearly headed out the door after the flop and after he made the best hand on the river. But for now, he'll be sticking around in his seat a little longer while Dizenzo has some work to do.

Finger Gets Snapped on the River

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Eric Sfez raised it up to 5,100 from under the gun and Martin Finger defended from the big blind. The flop came {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and Finger check-called a bet of 6,200 from Sfez.

The {10-Spades} paired the board on the turn and both players checked to the {2-Diamonds} on the river. Finger reached back for a large bet of 28,000 and Sfez snap-called. Finger turned over {10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} for trip tens and Sfez disgustingly tossed his cards to the muck.

Augustino Pressures the River

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Derek Whatley was playing out of middle position and Anthony Augustino was playing out of the big blind. The players were looking at a {q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} flop and Augustino checked to Whatley, who bet 14,000 and Augustino called. The {3-Spades} turn went check-check and the river card was a {6-Diamonds}. Augustino lead for 40,000, which was over half of Whatley's remaining stack and he decided to pass.
